Please no more TIME for Gore!

    TIME for Gore

Leave it to Time magazine, the liberal friendly publication to introduce, promote, exaggerate, etc., the new global warming horror movie by our old friend Al Gore. The former vice-president and senator from Tennessee is at it again. In an interview with Time magazines Karen Tumulty, Gore attacks the president, and vice-president, again, yawn, by spewing with Tumulty, that, "I think that the small bubble of unreality in which [Bush and Cheney] are living is getting more uncomfortable and a little lonely for them."

The interview doesn’t miss a chance to bring up the 2000 election, again…WOW, who is the bigger cry baby, Al Gore, or Time? Let’s review that 2000 election. After what seemed like 5 million recounts, George W Bush won Florida by a razor thin margin of 537 votes, the needed votes for the presidency. There are though, a few facts that you don’t hear much about. IF Al Gore would have carried his own state of Tennessee(he DID NOT, he lost it by 80,229 votes, almost 4 percentage points)their 11 electoral votes would have been Gores, and then Florida would never have been an issue, Gore would have won the election. How sad is that? Bush carried his home state of Texas by 1,365,893 votes, almost 22 percentage points.

Another issue you don’t hear about are the states that were also close that Gore won. New Mexico for instance, Gore won by only 366 votes, just .06 of a percentage point.  Or Iowa, Gore won by 4,144 votes, just .32 of a percentage point. Then there is Wisconsin, he won by just 5,708 votes, a mere .22 of a percentage point.  Three states combined, he won by less than 1 percentage point.  Do you realize, that had those states had a repeated recount, as did Florida,  and had they seen a different result, and Bush won those three instead of Gore, and then Gore  on the 800th recount finally won Florida instead of Bush, then Bush would not have won the election by 271-266 electoral votes (270 wins the election), nope, he would have won by 276-261. I didn’t even put Gores home state of Tennessee in the mix, he didn’t come close to winning there. But it doesn't work that way, where you keep counting because you don't like the result.  I mean, it is not supposed to be that way, despite crying Gore and his crews attempts.  Check these results yourself at United States Presidential Results. Or, if you want to experiment yourself with this election or all past presidential elections, check the Electoral College Calculator yourself.  But please Mr. Gore, be quiet, you lost the election, you lost your own state of Tennessee, and all of your self respect.  You over react on global warming, and, is anyone besides Michael Moore, your friends at Time, or the Cannes film festival really listening to you?
